I have only recently come to Annie’s yoga classes and have been extremely impressed.  She is an excellent yoga teacher and clearly relishes sharing her love of the subject with her participants. She is particularly perceptive of their individual needs, especially in relation to the differing levels and mixed abilities within the group.  At the end of the classes I always feel completely grounded and relaxed.  I cannot recommend her highly enough.


As someone who had never sat on a yoga mat before, but wanted to try a yoga class to improve my flexibility after sitting at a desk all day; I was very nervous about walking into a yoga class, imagining it to be all lycra and perfectly poised yoga experts.  The reality was a relief – Anne welcomed me to her class and was reassuring that yoga is for everyone and my classmates were friendly people there for similar reasons to myself.  A year on and my class is a highlight of my week, improving both my flexibility and overall well-being.  I have found Anne to be the living embodiment of what a yoga teacher should be – well qualified, kind, patient and endlessly lovely to her class.  I recommend yoga and Anne’s class to all my nearest and dearest!

I find Anne Brown’s yoga classes excellent.  She features a mix of the mental and physical aspects of yoga in a thoughtful combination.  As the class sessions develop, the strong exercises grow.  The relaxation conclusion of the session brings the class to a fine end.  I strongly recommend Anne’s yoga classes


I’ve been practicing yoga with Anne for over a year now and really enjoy her classes.  She is very mindful of individuals conditions and always gives alternative positions to ease each person to get the best out of their practice.  I always feel calm and relaxed in Anne’s classes. Each week is different and I enjoy the variety she offers. The relaxation at the end of each session is wonderful for me.


Whilst visiting a friend in Biggar I had the good fortune to attend Anne’s yoga class in Thankerton. I have been practicing yoga for many years and have experienced a variety of different teachers. Anne is definitley amongst the best of them.  She is receptive, immersive and completley accepting. She embodies the spirit of Yoga and has the skills to share this generously.  I felt safe and welcome and left her class on a cloud. If I get the chance when in the area again, I would seek her out.


Classes are friendly and supportive. I always feel very relaxed after classes more than other yoga classes.


Yoga teaching by Anne is of great benefit to my sense of peace,calm and thoughtfulness,and physically good for core strength,posture,balance,and awareness of and connecting mind and body. Has taught me how to relax and become aware of tension and anxiety and to let go of these.I started yoga at live classes before covid19 lockdown,but as soon as lockdown had happened Anne arranged online classes via zoom,and I am so glad she did as they have been therapeutic and valuable ( even more so just now when you are cut off from others and full of concern about the future) .I really look forward to the class every week. Although I am new to yoga ,Anne is a gentle and patient teacher and you feel her positive regard towards others,which is so enabling and supportive. I think Anne is a remarkable teacher of Yoga,and I am enjoying the benefits of this practice and plan to continue.
